Privacy Policy

Unbuilt(“we,” “us”) is a public, read-only ledger of unmet demand — product gaps and things people wish existed — surfaced from publicly posted content on the Bluesky social network. This policy explains what data we process and why. It is written to be read, not to obscure.

We connect to Bluesky’s public firehose (Jetstream), a real-time stream of posts that their authors have already published publicly. We apply a keyword pre-filter and then a language-model classifier to identify posts expressing demand for something that does not yet exist. For matching posts we retain the post text, its language, its timestamp, the parent post’s text when it is a reply, the classifier’s output, and a reference to the original post. That reference includes the post’s author identifier (DID), so author attribution is retained even though it is not shown publicly.

We do notdisplay author handles, display names, or profile information anywhere on the public ledger — it shows the wish, not the wisher. Author attribution may, in future, be made available to verified or paying users through gated product features. We will update this policy before introducing any such feature.

The site has no user accounts, no login, and no advertising. We do not ask visitors for personal information, and we do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not sell personal data to advertisers or data brokers. Because the source posts are already public on Bluesky, any future paid feature would gate access to information that is already publicly available there.

We may collect privacy-respecting, aggregate usage metrics (such as page views) to understand what is useful. Any such analytics are aggregate and are not used to identify individual visitors.

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (web hosting), and Anthropic (language-model classification of post text). Each processes data only to provide their service.

If you authored a Bluesky post that appears in our ledger and you would like it removed, email privacy@unbuilt.so with a link to the entry. We will remove it. Deleting the original post on Bluesky does not automatically remove a previously captured copy, so please reach out.

Captured records are retained for as long as the ledger operates, to preserve the longitudinal record of when demand first appeared and whether it was later met. We may remove records on request or when they are no longer needed.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
